What's wrong with jQuery, prototype, YUI etc?
Nothing! These JavaScript libraries are fantastic and they each have a
phenomenal user base. $dom wasn't written to compete with the
likes of jQuery, infact, feature wise, it doesn't even compare.
Limiting the feature set was really the point of writing $dom. With
other libraries I found I was only ever using 10% of their features while still
having to download 100% of their code.
